Set amongst ranges of tall sandhills and smaller sand dunes, Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club is a true test of golf for all golfers. At this two time, Ryder Cup venue and top 100 ranked UK course, accuracy is of ultimate importance and you need to plan your drive rather than just hit it as far as possible. The coastal climate is kind and is a delightful atmosphere in which to play golf.

The blind tee shot should be aimed at a tall copse of trees some 360 yards away behind the green. The fairway narrows at about 230 yards so a choice of a club from the tee needs to be made. Miss the green and you are faced with a particularly deep bunker on the front right. A high bank behind the green provided a backstop beyond which lies the putting green and inviting clubhouse.

Hole Tactics
Sensible tee shot will play to the widest part of the fairway and set up a birdie chance before you hit the 19th hole!
