Become A Member
The £150.00 (+VAT) membership fee entitles you to attend and entertain guests at any of our Business Golf Society events over the course of the season subject to availability.
Attend An Event
There is an additional fee for members and their guests to attend any individual BGS event, which varies depending on the venue. This fee covers bacon rolls and coffee, green fees for 18 holes and a two-course sit-down meal.
Competition Rules

Better ball stableford (best two scores from 4 person team)

95% handicaps

Maximum handicap any player is given is 17 shots

Yellow tees / Blue tees at Hillside in March event

Prizes are awarded for the top two placed teams.

You must putt out

If at least two members of your team cannot make the dinner then you are not eligible to win the prizes.

If you can't stay for the meal & sponsors presentation please do not enter any nearest the pin prizes

It is your responsibility to complete the scorecard correctly and sign it.
Members

Members that finish 1st or 2nd at any event throughout the year will be docked 3 or 2 shots respectively from their handicap within the society.

The Order of Merit Competition that runs across all events and is awarded at the final event in November..
Guests

Guests are limited to a maximum of two events per season.

If a guest returns for a second event in the same season and placed 1st or 2nd at the previous event, they will be docked 3 or 2 shots respectively from their handicap for that event.

Guests that are professionals golfers can not win any prizes of contribute to the team score of best 2 from 4 to score..
